Machine Pitch is for boys and girls aged 6-8
There is a tryout and draft to set teams. Players are not guaranteed to be with specific teammates / coaches.
The typical season consists of 10-14 of games, including playoffs in the Spring Season. Players can expect a combined 1-2 practices/games per week (dependent on the coach). The Machine Pitch division focuses on player development while balancing competitive play. As our entry level competitive division, coaches deliver the baseball to batters from a machine at 40 mph and hitters attempt to get on base by putting the ball in play, no walks. Gameplay continues in relatively traditional format with 3 outs per half-inning and keeping score.
The spring season will feature a regular season as well as a post-season tournament. Additionally, during the spring season the top teams will have the opportunity to play in a City Tournament and top players will have the opportunity to play in the All-Stars tournament, both in June.
Required Equipment
Machine Pitch allows only USA Baseball stamped bats. Teeball, USSSA, and BBCOR bats are NOT allowed.
Players are expected to have their own glove and batting helmet.
Molded rubber cleats are strongly encouraged; but metal cleats are not allowed.
