Calling all Challenger league buddies!

The 2018 Challenger League season is coming soon to McAllister Park and registration is open online at mpll.org/registration.  Games will be played every Saturday, April 7 through May 19th at 9am-10am on fields 1, 2 and 3 at the Upper Complex.

Challenger League was founded by Little League® in 1989 and is an adaptive baseball program for individuals with physical or intellectual challenges.  Players are ages 6 to 18 years of age and must be enrolled in an NEISD school or live in the school district.  The object of Challenger League is to give kids the opportunity to enjoy the game of baseball in a non-competitive atmosphere.  Each registered player is assigned to a team and receives a team cap and league t-shirt.  There is no practice, just 7 Saturdays of FUN!

The Challenger League actively recruits Buddies to assist players batting and in the field.   A Buddy is a peer ages 10+ who helps a Challenger player bat, play in the field and enjoy the time at the ballpark.  Being a Buddy is a fun, rewarding way to earn community service hours!
